I have deleted my previous post so that people do not get unnecessarily confused.
I think I should have consulted you before making that post to find out how it could be best handled at the software level.
I have altered my previous entries to the database.
How do you think should insertions be handled?
We have only a couple. Under start and end location I have given the nucleotide numbers between which the insert occurs. Other people have handled it differently by extending the numbering to the insert. The curator FAQ is a good idea so you could probably post your reply there for everyone.
